**What is Healthy Planet? **
Healthy Planet aims to inspire, encourage and support people around the world to make healthier lifestyle choices. We allow you to make a positive and measurable difference to conservation from your own home.

**How do we do this? **
Our main initiative is **Adopt a Plot**, which directs your money to people doing essential conservation projects around the world. By using the latest web technology, you can adopt a plot of land in a protected area and engage in its conservation right from your own home! At least 90% of your donation is spent on the activity and park that your adopted plot is supporting. The remaining amount is used by Healthy Planet to further the initiative. We pride ourselves on the interactive nature of this program. As a land guardian you can choose between activities, manage your donation, see where it goes and what it does, receive feedback on the impact your donation has had, and share ideas within our community of like-minded individuals.


Our **'Books for Free'** campaign was set up to rescue books otherwise destined for landfill or pulping. We redistribute these books for free throughout communities via our stores nationwide. By visiting our stores and taking a book, you're reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill each year and helping to recycle valuable resources. So far we have saved 20 tonnes of books! In addition, Healthy Planet provides f**ree resources** for everyone, both young and old to inspire change and positive action. Our FREE resources for schools aim to increase interaction between children and their environment.


If you own a commercial building but have no paying tenants take advantage of our **property scheme**. If allow Healthy Planet to become a temporary tenant of your empty space you can help _reduce costs by 50%_. Charities receive 80% mandatory relief on their rates and a potential further 20% discount.
In return for helping to slash your empty rates costs, Healthy Planet simply asks the following:
- A tax-deductible, charitable donation to support Healthy Planet's work.
- A commitment to ensure our promotional displays are completed and maintained during the tenancy.
